The Ancient Gates of Pangea Re-Open!

About 240 fine folks joined us for “The Open House at Pangea Gardens” on Saturday, June 13, 2026. What a crowd of Pangeans!!

Pangea Gardens Open House - young musicians on lawn

As guests arrived, they were serenaded on the beautifully restored 60 year-old grand piano by John Van Beek. The Floyd Country Store served a wonderful assortment of delicious sandwiches and wraps. Visitors were surprised by Esther’s Baked Goods, a wide offering of Amish-styled baked treats which sold out! The Donna Moree Art Gallery debuted and enjoyed quite successful sales of original works and reproduction prints. And, the Handmade Music School delivered three youth string bands to perform in the Glory, Equinox and Amor gardens.

Children of all ages enjoyed exploring the magnificent gardens, Hobbit Lane, the underground VIP Lounge, the Wellness Center and the playground flanked by horses on top of Moonshine Hill.

Thereafter, everyone came together in The Love Nest and filled the music hall with love, as Junior Sisk and his band entertained the crowd. And, for the finale, Junior and his bandmates so generously brought the music school students on stage to jam with them and the Bluegrass legend. Smiles were ear to ear on the students’ faces … and their parents!

All in all, it was a great opening success. The Handmade Music School was the beneficiary of the event. And, those present were incredibly generous in their financial support of the school. We thank everyone from the bottom of our hearts. Giving is Living!

At day’s end, folks were walking to their cars feeling like home was under their feet and in their hearts! We wished them our love and extended an invitation to join us again on October 3rd, for a benefit concert by The Paul Thorn Band.

Let’s roll!
